Who may use this service?
This service is intended for the students, faculty, staff and alumni of Bellarmine University.

Who will answer my question?
Your question will go to one of the Reference Librarians at the W. L. Lyons Brown Library who will respond to your inquiry.

Please know that it may be faster to contact us by phone at (502) 272-8317 rather than by email.

For lengthy or detailed research needs, we suggest that you visit the library or schedule an individual, in-person research consultation.

Additional ways to get research assistance:

In Person: A librarian is available in the library between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Monday - Friday, Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday,  Noon to 8 p.m.

Additional Information

Circulation transaction requests, such as renewal of books, Interlibrary Loan requests and reservation of library rooms, are not to be handled through this service. 

Books and other library materials can be renewed using these instructions.

Interlibrary loan requests can be made on the interlibrary loan page.

Some reference questions are more complex than they first appear and may require further consultation with you.

If your question requires more time or offline research than expected, we will work with you to establish a reasonable timeframe for a complete response. As a courtesy, we will contact you every 24-48 hours with our progress on unfinished questions.

To ensure equal access and fair treatment for all patrons, questions are usually answered in the order they are received

We cannot respond to medical, legal, or tax-related questions.
